I'm considering grabbing an Android based console (Probably the Mojo) for my set up strictly to use as a Shmup machine. Besides the Cave games, Raiden Legacy and R Type are there any shmups worth a try on droid?
There's nothing much original on Android that's the problem, probably getting a console wouldn't be worth it that much. You could check the Play Store on the web and see if there's a big enough library to support the purchase, but likely not. It's somewhat hard to filter all the bullshit games from the real ones.
Yeah considering this is supplementing an emulator box I'm building it may not be, but I'll look around, see if anyone else has something to chip in.
