Well, living in the Philippines, it's not impossible to find US versions of consoles as well as NES game but......... They are really really hard to come by, most found are usually either pirated Famicom games or consoles. After visiting my mom in the hospital (Due to a broken bone) , I just walking by and noticed this house has some NES / Super Nintendo games and accessories in a little shelf outside and I'm almost positive all of those games are original, so immediately asked the owner if they are selling it, she said yes and and was selling them for roughly $1 per game (50 Pesos). Counting the games it has about 20 NES games (Battleship, Milons Secret Castle etc), 10 SNES games (Super Baseball 2020, etc) pretty old games. And they also has an SNES (No adapter and video cables and an NES advantage controller....... So I asked instead if I could just buy them all for $35 instead. She agreed. However there are multiple issues blaring in the head right now though.... First the games cannot be tested because well, I don't any system to test them on, I might be able to get an SNES console to test the SNES games but I'm sure I won't be able to get an NES system to test the NES games. So what if the game don't work anymore? Being a little greedy pirate when I was young I am now thinking or starting a collection of games just like how I started my original PC game collection by buying everything when a PC store seller decided to have a mega sale of their old PC games for roughly a Dollar a game.
So she agreed to the price but you told her you needed some time to think about it? Any idea where all of these were being kept?
Well, those stuff is currently literally outside, getting sun and stuff. However, before she put it outside, she said it was stuck in their bedroom in those decades...... And I just said to her I'd be back because I was busy processing my mom's health insurance.
Get them away from outdoors as soon as you can. If it was in a bedroom, highly likely they're just fine. It would take a lot for them to ruin anyway. I say go for it.
You could also share with us the pictures of your purchase and we can also advise on the condition of the golden connector. I would recommending getting a retron 3 to play and test those games.
