Kirby Super Star (Kirby's Fun Pack) and Kirby's Dream Land 3 do, but there were also Kirby "minigames" released over the Satellaview that don't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirby's_Toy_Box
Kirby Super Star and Dream Land 3 used a SA-1 chip. I can't see how any BS games used a special chip, because it would have had to be in the Satellaview hardware, and there weren't any (I think). The Kirby games he refers are part of the Kirby's Toy Box package of 8 fairly simplistic, small mini-games. One thing the Super ED is good for is development, and in this case MasterofPuppets, you might have to do some to get them to work on a real SNES! Do the roms work on BSNES?
Yes, they work fine on bsnes. I had to change it to .bs though, and I loaded it as special through BS-X cartridge. It doesn't work if you load it as just a normal .sfc cartridge. I plan on (and want to) do some work to get these working, and I would release the patches for any games I hack, I want to start with Kirby but I can't find the data to fix the size.
As I said, the data is either in the LoROM or HiROM position or not present at all maybe but I'm not sure that is true. BS-Zelda doesn't work without a patch because it makes a function call to the BS-X BIOS. It is possible other BS games do as well and might work if this call is removed. However many other games work just like a regular 8M cartridge game like BS Shockman Zero. I've never really messed with any BS games other than BS Zelda maps 1&2 so I can't really tell you much about any others.
I think you're like the only person on the internet to mention Shockman Zero, I can't find anything on it.
It's actually BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero but I am too lazy to type that out so Shockman (that was the name in the US on TG16) plus the Zero bit.
Oh ha ha. Well the rom I downloaded doesn't work for Shockman Zero. I have a feeling it's because it's looking for the BS-X hardware. In my emulator, it lists the cart contents as ROM+RAM+BAT+BSX. In your BS Zelda, for instance, it lists ROM+RAM+BAT only.
Greg are you trying BS Shubibinman on the 'everdrive? it actually works with the tips mentioned in this thread if you experience problem doing that drop me a pm. So i give'd another try with the Golf one, without luck. would you please look into the rom just to see if it possible or not? it was funny for the first 3 minutes and i got a success with shubibinman but this seems to be far from my skills
In my BS-Zelda patch I changed the Cartridge Type to ROM+RAM+Battery. Not a big deal, the link I gave explains that field.
BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero i have tryed via hex editer i can't do this can anyone help me thanks. I would like to make my own personal rom cart. Thanks.
The header doesn't matter at all on a regular cartridge/eprom cartridge. It only matters to emulators, Flash Carts, and some Copiers.
As i can't get it to work say a eprom cart as i would like to use my real snes on this game i get a black screen when i tryed it last time. Any help would be great.
Is your system NTSC? The software may not run correctly on PAL. Also, the game may rely on certain things to be initialized as it is a BS-X game. Flash Carts and Copiers will do this too. But an EPROM cart will not. First see if using a NTSC system works.
http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?StartRow=21&catid=31&threadid=87949 pichichi010 sayed he hacked the rom to work as a eprom cart. i tryed again in ntsc and pal mode still not working black screen. needs a patch.
