    We use msieve-GPU for polynomials selection, BOINC+gnfslasieve4I14e for sieving, and msieve-CPU for relation filtering, linear algebra and sqrt.

    Am I right in thinking that this enables homebrew 3DO stuff to be run? If so then that's a pretty great development.

    Eh, 3DO and the M2 are just as related as all the Nintendo systems and/or Sony systems. With the lack of a specific 3DO section in development this is probably the most appropriate place for it. Besides, it's not like 3DO posts are drowning out M2 discussion or vice versa.

    Yep. They brute forced the private key. Do this on any system and you can sign all your own stuff. It essentially breaks the security model wide open.

    Yep, as hl718 said, once the keys were released it was just a matter of figuring out what to sign. Alex Troosh did most of that.
