Just started my PCB collection with a Dogyuun board, and next month some friends go to Tokio, and they will get an AV 7000 for me. I asked Gaijinpunch some time ago if there was a way to plug my HRAP to the supergun, and he told me that a guy at shoryuken forums made adaptors, but can't find the info at the forum, can somebody help me? thanks!

I've seen the topic, but I don't know anything about wires, soldering, etc XD; a Neo Geo convertor will work?

PD: And yes, buying anything from Japan now is a pain in the ass, but I want to play Dogyuun with sound XD

You could buy a cheap and cheerful Supergun unit with an ATX power supply to get by on locally and wait for the yen to weaken as the Japanese governement aren't going to let the yen stay too strong as it'll ruin the Japanese economy and they have previous bought other currencies to weaken the yen.

A Neo Convertor will work but will still require you to wire it to same spec as the Sigma connector.

yeah considering what a supergun is they really overcharge. I don't know what type of pinout port a sigma uses so I can't be much help to you here. I'm one of the people who just got fed up with insane prices and decided to learn how to build myself a SG.

If you buy an AV6000, you can use Neo Geo connectors (or NG sticks). Mak JP had a used set (AV6000 w/ 8000TB) last I was there. Maybe your friends could pick it up for you. If one of them breaks though, you're kind of fucked.

If you want to use your actual PS2 controller on the Supergun I will have to jump in and urge you to get used to an arcade controller. Yes, they're big and expensive, but eventually you'll find your gameplay improve...especilly if you plan on getting into Cave games that really require you to have fingers on at least 3 buttons (and some 4: ESPGaluda 2) at all times. Yes, anyone can get used to anything (even a keyboard) but the arcade stick is universal.

Thanks to everyone!, the option of making one by myself would be ok if I knew something about electronics, but this isn't the case :( ; looked at yahoo auctions, and just found an AV7000 with the 9000tb, and it was more expensive than the price at Mak (35000 yen), how much was the AV6000 if you can remember it GP?

PD: Don't worry about using the arcade stick, I've been using my HRAP for about 5 years, now I can't play any shoot'em up with a regular pad :)

yeah I already had years of experience with electronics so I just researched on the internet what a supergun actually does and it wasn't so hard for me. And yes....playing any arcade game without an arcade stick is terrible......even a bat-top stick is way better than a controller. Hope you manage to find an adapter for your HRAP, those are fun sticks.

The AV6000+8000TB was less than a new 7000/9000, but I can't recall exactly how much. If I'm in the hood again I will check it out.
