UPDATE: Ive found my backup of the disc, if anyone has SGI hardware and can get it running PLEASE contact me as soon as possible.
the link is in the comments

i was sent an email a few months back (from a friend) containing the original set of Demo's Created by SGI that where used to "Showcase" The up and coming ULTRA 64's (Nintendo 64) Graphical capabilities, the demo's that i know of where:
a 3D shark demo showing the n64's water,Lighting and texture filtering effects
A top-Gun Styled Flight sim that used DANGER ZONE as its background music, thats all i can remember at the moment, ive attempted to boot up the ISO in a SGI emulator using the needed specs, sadly no luck.
And i sadly dont have acess to an INDIGO 2 nor an IMPACT workstation.

As far as i know, im one of the only ones with a copy of it, everyone else ive contacted no longer have it.
Ill DM anyone who thinks they can get it running, a link to download it.
Hoping someone on here can get it up and running again.

Edit: replies may take a while since im in the process of moving to a new house, sorry for any delays in advance

I havent seent this "demo" before, but thank god its on youtube :)

Is your disc called : "Demos for IRIX 5.3 All Indigo2 IMPACT" ?
Does it have a readme in the ISO ?

Or do you have various ISOs from the following list ?

Nekochan has a gigantic list of all released demos(?) tools...idk : @_@

    http://www.nekochan.net/wiki/Media_Product_Numbers

A youtube comment says you need a special LG DVD Drive...that can read any media in the world...like LG GDR-8082N or 8161B or 8162B or 8163B or 8164B.

I guess you dumped it yourself, or your friend ?

So for everyone else who havent seen this "old stuff"...

    Starts at 0:39 :

And in this video from 2012 someone demonstrates the whole thing using Indigo2 Impact :

    And another one :

Quite cool if you havent seen it before...like me... @_@

Loved those demos, I had only seen the Atlantis demo from the Ultra 64 reviews. It's really impressive how much technology improved in the brief period until the N64 was released.

Thanks, actually I have several SGI machines. The one I plan to run this on is a different system than the Indy where the Ultra64 board is installed; it is instead an Indigo2, which uses the MGRAS (Impact) graphics board set, what the demos had been built for.

i dont have that much experiance with SGI hardware besides my personal prototype 64 hardware, ive got 2 unfinished prototype boards, luckily they run perfectly with both JP retail and JP prototypes, along with the board came a Prototype controller, using the shell of the Ultra 64 controller and its parts (im guesing it was reused)

    Excellent! :)
I am a long, long time SGI enthusiast (since way before the N64), and this is the reason the N64 has always intrigued me...

from a collector, ive got the shell of an original U64 being sent, he's had it since 95,
Plus saving up to eventualy get an INDIGO2, id love to own a working unit to add to my collecion of 64 hardware, next to my proto n64, my original mockup box, and a few other pieces of hardware

You should post a picture of the U64 when you get it. The other N64 hardware you mentioned sounds interesting too.
