Hi, Red an old article (1997) and saw some shots of sim city 3000 that looks totally different than from what got released. If you want I can post some pics on it
I have pictures of it lying around somewhere, too. There was a "street level" view that was probably very taxing on machines of that time, which was likely why that feature was taken out. Those pictures are in a fairly large article. I'd upload them, but I'd have to find the magazine (which is in my garage somewhere) and then an internet connection that won't take hours to upload a few hours.
I almost want to say that SimCity for the 64DD included the 'street level' view, but I'm not entirely sure.
http://www.student.lu.se/~fek02ali/games Wonder if it was in alpha or the beta stage? And speaking of sim games... One game that I looked really forward to was simsville... You guys know if there is any pre-versions around.. ?
It looks rather similar to the 64dd version...sim city 2000 on the playstation featured a 3d "car" mode, but nothing quite like those garphics suggest Ryan
I friend of mine has "The Streets of Sim City" (I believe) which is like an expansion to sim city 2000 where you are able load in your maps then drive around them in a car. You don't actually need sim city to run the game as it comes with some maps, but it is somewhat pointless to have it if you don't own sim city 2000.
