Doesn't fashion basically mean it looks pretty? Well, more or less, so if you like a Mac and Ipod based on its looks, doesn't that mean you like it because is fashionable?

I think you meant to say trendy.

It's not the South or any "region" of the US, people will just love to hate on certain aspects of Apple I guess. I got a Macbook because I wanted something that would last a while. At least Apple products are reliable. It didn't cost me a fortune either. I've had an iPod for years and soon will upgrade. Most of my friends had them or have them too and many people I know, and I'm originally from Texas. It's not a "trend" it's just...good products.

The people with Zunes and other brand MP3's still call them iPods anyway...like calling tissues "Kleenex" I guess. Even middle aged people use the things. Trend? No. Convenient? Yes.

the mention of the south was the "Oh, you have one of them iPods" as in, hey that is unfamiliar.

anytime you have something like that in a rural area you get that more. I know I did when I visited montana...

My hometown has 15,000 people and iPods were nothing special there....maybe it was just Montana? Last time I checked, Montana was not in the "South"

Montana, at least Helena and Missoula was kick ass when I lived there...I don't remember any redneckers in those areas but who knows now. It's pretty bad here...lol.

I have an iPod touch and a Macbook, I love them because of the way they work and I'd choose OSX over windows anyday now I've used it for a year.

However I can't help feeling a little self conscious when I bring them out in public, it does feel like everyone is looking at me thinking.....prick.

Hehe... ahh, they might not. Of course, if you went out in public with them then got into your Boxster, THAT'S when people would think... prick! ;-)

It's nice to see the simpsons still has it but that show still needs to be taken behind the Shed and shot.

I¡m a mac user, and now I think that Apple is more interested in selling his products to cool fashion addicts, than selling them to their old professionals customers, the new Macbook Pro are awful with that glossy screen.

PD: I've used an iPod for 5 years, and now I use the music player of my Blackberry :)
