Sinden Lightgun announcement

hi members , i'm not sure all of you know but a guy named Sinden has created a prototype Light Gun for use on LCD and Plasma TV's. I will link to some of his Youtube videos below , there are more videos on his Channel as well. He plans for a Kickstarter in February , he has had one previous Kickstarter but it failed to reach the total i believe this is due to not many people knowing about his project.

Interesting. I assume this is a USB connector?

 

It seems a nice idea but is for PC emulators only and you can use other solutions, like AIMtrak or a wiimote (and many others), with a sensor bar but it's not really a problem.

in response to AIMtrak or a WIImote , this is the next level and a lower lag solution. The AIMtrak is a little sluggish when moving around the screen for example. Kickstarter is looking good for March if anyone is interested

just watched this on Youtube a video of Andy being interviewed on RetroManCave , btw the Kickstarter is flying.

 

I wonder if this could work on consoles too if that white border could be added on top of the image? Maybe the OSSC could be used for that

 

that's a great idea king , i can say i've spoken to Andy Warne of AIMtrak and he mentioned that Time Crisis 4 on PS3 has a heavy encryption. Maybe it's the Guncon 3 itself or the game i can't remember exactly

This is quite the news! Seeing the customizable character of the Sinden I think this might do the trick to finally be able to play Virtua Cop 3 at home using the Chihiro converted files on a 128MB modded XBOX. Any plans on supporting Dreamcast?

I have the SONY LCD TV with the Multi AV port (See http://assemblergames.com/threads/sony-wega-klv-15ap2.42660/) to play with Playstation.
I asked the creator whether if used with the SONY's lightgun Multi AV cable the gun would work. (See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273798522278)
He reckoned it might not although he would look into the issue.
