    Hey Folks,

I recently acquired a DECR-1000A which has 4 dev builds of SingStar Vol 3 on the HDD. They are all dated pretty close to the retail release date so my assumption is that these are press review versions. I can't tell any difference between each version so I've taken pics of 1.

Seems like there is some type of debug menu but it does not display anything (possibly because I don't have the mics). Am I lucky to get $5 for this or is there anything else I should check for that I might have missed?

    Thanks!

    I'd agree with Digimac
Nice surprise to find them in the drive, but value is like a sports title i.e. Non existent

If they are on a decr 1000a they are most likely dev versions, not review versions. and pricewise I agree with previous posts.

Pretty neat that you found dev data on it, even if it is a SingStar game. You'd probably have better luck selling the whole tool with the data on it as some evidence of where it might have been used during development to a collector or something if you don't plan to keep it.

Honestly, I think trying to get money off of just the contents would probably get you more flack than cash.

Yeah literally $10 is not worth my time to extract the builds for a single person, but to put them up it makes more sense.

Not sure if the question is right for this thread but what's the legality of publicly posting "pretty much retail" builds?

Atleast as far as I know let me know if I'm wrong it would be the same as posting any other prototype build or retail game for people to downloading. Which is why the forums has the no curren gen and games have to be 4 years old atleast rule since they are way less likely to go after you/us if they aren't making money off the product anymore.

    Basically what Charels said.
Cant imagine this is too popular of a game from the start anyway but 4 years since release date of a game is what is generally accepted as a safer choice if you release them.

Cool, I'll hopefully have some time over the next week to figure out how to dump them off the HDD and upload them somewhere.

    Thanks for all the help!

    You can PM me.
Another user here actually asked me due to a build on their kit.

Getting it off isn't very difficult.
