I bought SM 3.8 Coder Version but it doesn't include this slide tool thing. How can I make it? I saw some video: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/632349/how_to_make_your_own_ps2_slide_card/ But there's nothing about sizes and all other stuff. Someone knows more about it? Also, another little question - do I still need Memory Card with Free McBoot to launch programs from USB Flash, if I use SM?
For the slide tool, look at this picture: http://psx-scene.com/forums/attachments/f77/16778d1269405881-psx-game-ps2-swipe-card.gif Find an old credit card, gift card, or something similar that you don't need anymore and cut it into that shape. I've made a couple, they art kinda tricky to use at first but once you get the hang of it then it's very easy. Though...I think you don't need to use a slide tool at all if you have Free McBoot installed on a memory card and use ESR. (I could be wrong, it's been a while)
Thanks! That's exactly what I needed. Pity sizes are not in centimetres though. Already made this one using pasteboard, seems some shapes are not correct, needs practice. I don't have memory card with FMB.
If your swap magic disc allows booting ELF files from USB that's all you need to install FreeMCBoot and ESR. If your system is a Slim model that can't do freemcboot you can still use ESR by using Swap Magic to launch it from USB I think.
