I've got three slims of three models. One worked but no activity on the sled, laser diode, or spindle motor. Found PS11 blown which is supposed to power the chips for all three of those. Replaced it with an identical fuse and it still refuses to do anything beyond go to the BIOS and allow for input. So I moved to slim #2. It worked perfectly before I took it apart but as soon as I got the case off I got the same symptoms as above. Checked all fuses and everything appears to be in working order. This one still had the warranty seals intact which leaves me at an absolute loss as to what is wrong. Anyone know what's going on?
It's an obvious thing to check, but did you check the door sensors? They have to all work and be triggered, in order for the console to register that the door is closed.
That's a good point. The one with the power switch has caught me out a couple of times by sitting incorrectly
