My First post here. You guys have a lot of good stuff here and is much appreciated. But anyways I have a slim xdk last edition. I was trying to flash 21256.18 and got a message failed on screen couldn't back out of the screen so I shut the system off. To only get a e79 error message on power up. And unfortunately I don't have any kind of backup. Tryed burning a recovery disk of 21256.18. on boot up of the system with the disk in the drive I hear it read but nothing appears on screen. I don't know what to try next to get this working again. Maybe flash it with stress cables but I don't have those. Also this kit doesn't have the sidecar. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Are you certain you burned the ISO version of the recovery to that CD, and did so correctly?

That DVD should take hardware priority and be the first thing the CPU reads on boot, so it should work no matter how badly your NAND is corrupted.

since its getting an E error the kernel is loading so it can be fixed with a iso recovery.

I dont know if a 21256.18 disk recovery is out public.

There is a 21256.12 disk recovery tho.
