Wasnt quite sure where to put htis thread. In my new arrangements with our local cash convertors i am starting to get LOTs of faulty consoles come through now andsofar out of 3 slimlines i have picked up (1x worked ok :dance: ) but the other two boot up fine but both have DRE. The first is a normal laser issue but the second seems a bitmore suspect. You put the disc in, but it doesnt even spin, the laser motor doesnt move, and then it comes up with no disc instered etc.. would it be better to swap the complete drive 'tray' out altogther or am i looking a board fuse which has blown? there is no burning/marks on teh board anywhere that i could see.
