Aside from the part finished one which FazyCruck was building/selling recently, has anyonehere acutally built a Slimline Xbox 1?

I only came acrross these after seeing Fazy's one and am intrigued. I havea couple of spare Xbox's lying around, including a faulty DVD drive model (which seems ripe for the conversion!) and was wondering on how people went about doing theirs, any unexpected problems you encountered etc?

I am really taken with the idea especially as they appear to look so much more modern in doing so.

Any help, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey lee

best place to check out is the XS forums, youll find all sorts of weird and wonderful casemods on there

Ive never attempted a slim, but i did build one into a miniATX PC case a few years ago which was fun, and i also helped a mate intergrate a xbox into a arcade cab a while ago as well

I think it'd be cool to make a slimline, but without a discdrive. Have it softmodded and then load it up with stuff. I might look into it. My little bro has a small stockpile in his room right now. I wonder how small I could make it....

OE - thats pretty smart conversion.. My brother also had one fitted to his car fora whle, he just put the whole thing into the glovebox, case and all!

Graciano - Agreed, thats what im thinking, i have 2x black, 1x crystal working boxese her right now and also a dead unit which i can try to cut the case down with and not worry too much if i get it wrong!

the joys of bargain xboxs! lol

I'm at school right now but when i get home i'll try to find more pictures of it. there was a place selling a replacement case for the xbox for about 250 dollars, it was a alunimum slimline case that was made so it would blend into entertainment centers better.

That green handeld looks pretty rediculous. I don't know if it's the angle or what but it looks friggin' huge and definitely not portable.

The LCD screen is a 5" one, I guess that the actual machine is something along 10 or 11 inches diagonal... Insanely huge.
