Sloppy Japanese in games

    Since you don't often hear about it in the west... What games is the Japanese dialogue typo-ridden, awkward, or otherwise flawed (ugly font, too small to read, etc)? If intentional satire that's OK too.

    Final Fantasy VIII. They butchered Squall's character and made Rinoa look like a floozy.

    Are you saying the Japanese dialogue is worse than the translation? That's part of what I'm after here.

    I think it's Final Fantasy VI, right? I think the game was rather bland, and the little girl cursed like a sailor for no good reason but to be edgy. Fred Woosley made that game pretty interesting. If they released V here, I wonder how it would be remembered, because it is often ignored.
    A good localizer knows how to make its game interesting to the audience they are trying to reach, while maintaining the spirit of the original.
