I just recently formated my hd and reinstalled Windows XP. Everything runs fine apart of my internet connection, and i don't really understand why. I ran at 200kb/s-300kb/s in average, but now i'm lucky if i reach 50kb/s. I was wondering if there was any non BS software that could "repair" so to speak my connection and tweak it to run as it should. Something free would be more appreciated. Anyone know any software or method? Thanks.
Oh, maybe that would be a good thing to do, yeah. Will start with that, i guess. Any good software that can tell you what's your pc hardware componant then?
Is it a branded model? If so look on the company website for your model number. If not then the only thing I can say is search for your driver CDs if you had them. Failing that open up your system and have a peek at the chipset on the card or on the motherboard.
Just open up your computer and then you'll know the model number, manufacture of whatever it is you have in there.
