I don't remember who said it, but I can wholeheartedly confirm the truth.
Yes, five years of your adult life really does just breeze by.

    I graduated high school June 6, 2006 (I think)
As a side note it really does get worse before it gets better.:dammit:

I graduated in '06, too. The last five years have been a flash.

    Same here.

Graduated in Dec'06, and time passed quickly.

I do regret some decissions (academic-wise mostly), others I certainly do not.

It's weird how time flies by, and it seems to pass faster as we grow older.

You are all very young. I started coming to these forums the semester I graduated from college - and... well, that was almost seven years ago.

It's as if you just blink and ka-chink, suddenly you're thirty.

    Fuck.

I graduated in '06 too. I still haven't finished college, mainly due to the fact that I took a year off (not by choice). I wouldn't say the past 5 years have been a "flash" exactly, but looking back it's hard to believe that that much time has passed. Things haven't turned out exactly the way I wanted them to, but it could be a lot worse. I'm a lot better off physically, psychologically, and emotionally than I was in high school anyway.

I think it's better not to dwell on how much time has passed. I'm looking forward to the future. I'm gonna graduate from college pretty soon, and then I'm probably gonna move somewhere else and try to pursue music, among other things. I may go on some kind of trip when I graduate. Japan, maybe.

School is boring and tedious, but it'll be over soon and then maybe I can actually start doing what I want. Of course, then I have to worry about getting a job... but let's not talk about that for the moment.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that it's been scientifically proven that you perceive time as passing more rapidly as you get older. I remember one day when I was 4 or 5, and I was looking out the window at the sunset. I was really only there for an hour or so, but it seemed like an eternity. If I had to guess, I'd say now I perceive a year in about the same way as I perceived 1 minute at that age.

Wait til you're 42, divorced and wondering where the fuck it all went wrong.

I also graduated in 2006. What's weird, is the last 5 years have defiantly flown by...but I feel like I've grown and matured more in those 5 years than the first 18.

We don't graduate high school in the UK, but I started my Ph.D in 2006 and also came to Japan for the first time.

I'm now 27 and live in Japan.

    Time really does fly by.

Let's see since 2006 i've gotten at least six jobs and lost them all. Dropped out of college and generally did nothing.
My favorite part was going to Hawaii for a month in January 2009, I should go back there.

Now i'm pretty much out of the gaming scene and really haven't moved on to anything else.
