I have a few questions about a "original" Xbox, version 1.6
(And a few off topic questions about Xbox 360)
    Sorry for the long .......

I need / want to repair my European original xbox with a version 1.6 motherboard.
It does not want to turn on.

The SMD part I am searching for is a MMBT3906LT1G
    PNP Transistor, 200 mA, 40 V, 3-Pin SOT-23

Do you have this part for sale, Bad_Ad84 ?

See below why I ask for help with the SMD part, here on Assemblergames.

Anyhow on to the problem, it could be capacitors on the motherboard.

I replaced a few bulged (3) Nichicon capacitors ( and the others of the same type / brand / value) on the motherboard , The big ones (5) near the psu / power connector.

No this is not my motherboard, just a filthy example.
But still, my Xbox does not power on.

I will check the ESR of the other capacitors.

The power supply unit is a Tuscany (Samsung ?) revision/ type.
Not sure on which psu pins I can find the standby voltage, or other voltages.

Once again, not my psu, just a example of a "Tuscany" psu.

Any advise on parts / pins to check, and how ?

It could also be a transistor next to the Excalibur chip.
    https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1054331/Microsoft-Xbox.html?page=84#manual
    It is a MMBT3906LT1G

I will check the traces on the underside of the motherboard.
    http://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29-how-to-fix-trace-corrosion/
    Doesn't this apply to a version 1.6 motherboard ?
Does anybody have any links with clear pictures and / or instructions for a 1.6 motherboard ?

    Anyone any advise ?
    Can anybody help out ?

Does anyone in the Netherlands or Europe have a working psu for a version 1.6 xbox for sale ?
Or a complete Xbox for as we say "zacht prijsje" / low price.
A complete xbox cost almost nothing, and I do not need another one.

I got a few version 1.0 Xboxes, just to mod to 128 MB RAM, sometime. o_O
But the psu connector is different.

I got a 1.6 Xbox brand new in the box, but I do not want to open it just for a psu.
And I do not want to desolder the Executer mod chip parts, to place it in this new one.

    Off topic.....
I also got a brand new Xbox 360 (Falcon) in the box with the old glitchable dashboard version and HDMI.
Never got to it to install the RGH chip.
I bought 2 Xbox 360's at the time, and 2 RGH chips.
I already did one for my self, years ago, and it still works fine.
Because I almost do not use any of my modded consoles.
I just get a mod able version to try linux on it.
For real, for the kicks, just to check another architecture, cpu, chipset !!
I have been playing around with Red Hat linux since version 6.1 (1999)
    And still fooling around....
I have Linux for on my
Dreamcast, XBOX, XBox 360, PSP, PSOne, PS2, PS3, PS4, PC (Hackintosh), Phone, ....
    If I would drink coffee,(which I don't)
I probably would have had Linux on a coffee machine.

    Example picture.

    Installed dashboard versions.
    D 2.0.6683.0 K 2.0.6683.0 BK 2.0.1888.0

I took it out of the box just now for the second time in years.
Just to confirm the dashboard version.

Any bidders , preferably in the Netherlands ?
    ;)

I'll make a buy/sell thread here on Assemblergames in a moment, and place the link below.

A few other of topic questions about the Xbox 360.
I have been out of "the scene" a long time.
I am not to sure to if I can ask this on this forum.
If not, do not answer the questions below.

Does anybody have a link to instructions to update my own Xbox 360 to the latest modified dashboard version (2.0.17526.0) ?
Can it be done with USB and XELL Reloaded ?
Or do i need open the Xbox 360 to reflash it ?

And now once again for the SMD part.......

No suppliers have it in stock, whom deliver in low amounts.
    Expected delivery date ...... 14/08/2019 !!!!

    https://nl.rs-online.com/web/p/products/5450359?cm_mmc=NL-PPC-DS3A-_-google-_-3_NL_NL_M_SEMIS_Exact-_-on_semiconductor|bipolar_transistors-_-mmbt3906lt1g&matchtype=e&kwd-10795966857&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIloinlffB3QIVGc53Ch0G-wjdEAAYASAAEgKH4PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

And the ones that have stock, sell at a 100 / 3000 pieces minimum.

Or postage and packaging is a insane price.
    Part price 9 cents, P&P 25,36 !!!

So the part I am searching for is a MMBT3906LT1G

Does anyone of you have this part still in some small drawer, willing to sell a few ?

Why I want to repair this specific Xbox ?
It has a Xecuter mod chip and front with display.

No this photo is not my Xbox , but with the same front.

Anyhow, thanks for your time and effort.

Please do all the checks you mentioned first.
The traces are generally bad on the PCB edges. I don't think the revision matters here.
If you suspect any blown components, try to test them or provide your own pictures of the damage.

And uh.. I think you'll be fine with those transistors.

I have spare PSU board from a 1.3, but I think that's quite different from 1.6.
