Snes Component Mod

I’ve redone the mod today and the colours still don’t seem right. Picture quality is really good.
Edit: if i increase the contrast they get closer to what they should look like. If i go from 100 to 220 will the colours be even more washed out?

Also, should composite and s-video still work with the component mod. Mine curently only display black and white

Yes,composite and s-video should be displaying normally,do you another tv to test.

Are you using a resister on luma,also you could try a lower value cap.

 

Thanks for that. Just to confirm pin 1 and 24 need to be lifted or should they still be connected to the pads?
I used 75 ohm for Luma like you suggested.
Lower cap = higher colour intensity?

Edit: All good now, why did I assume they had to be lifted. My god... Looks great now

Awesome dude.

So what caps did you end up using.

 

I put 220 in, since they take up less room.
Best of all is that 60hz looks so much better, over composite, svideo and RGB it was always a little brighter but over component now is perfect.

No problem,glad it's working.

Also from doing comparisons with rgb and component on my crt.
If you have no resister on luma it looks pretty much the same as rgb color wise,with a resister its a bit dimmer but it still looks great as luma on the snes already goes through a amp.

 

I see thanks for that. So if I remove the resistor I can expect the same as RGB, will be a little brighter

Yup,it will be a bit more brighter but I wouldn't worry about it as your picture looks great.
