I've just got a couple of snes controllers and the screws have been rounded off, i've managed to get them out but need some replacements.

Any idea what type they are?

Take them down to a hardware store. Generally they will measure them and find the correct type.

Probably. You don't have to have to get gamebit screws though. Phillips would work just fine.

Umm, SNES controllers use Phillips screws anyway. They'll be for plastic, not wood screws, so you probably won't find them in a DIY store. Go to an electronics store (try Radio Shack) or look at an electronics wholesaler (MCM, Farnell etc.)

BTW, it's insight (and there's another one for you! lol) ;)

You're looking at a foreign-sourced part - choose another one.

Now that you've hinted you're in the UK (it helps to mention this or fill it in on your profile!), CPC are owned by Farnell but all their stock is UK-based.

Hey buddy, I would also suggest you get the Philips screw. That would fit in without any problem. But here another issue is that you are not able to find it. You should check in any nearest electronics store if the Farnell are asking for any delivery charge. I hope you get it soon.

I know its a phillips screws as I've taken them out lol, it's finding that size that's been tricky.

I've found a place that specialises in small screws, so i'm going to email them.

Standard plastic screws. They're not small - try looking in a laptop!

As for the size, just measure it! It's most likely the ISO metric screw thread:
