Hey, is there any existing SNES CD-ROM device lying around somewhere out there, or some strange ext device for the snes at all that somebody knows of?

    Hello,

The SNES CD ROM has been discussed quite a lot on this board use the search facility to find related posts, a prototype does exist see here

As for the other extensions apart from the Stellaview I don't see anything else.

the satellaview modem(japan only) and the life fitness bike imho, but i have yet to see the latter myself.
there is a thread here about the snes cd and an existing prototype of it, but
it plugs into the cartridge port, not the ext one.
technically, almost all pins and functions of the ext port are also available on the regular cartridge bus so it doesnt matter at all.

aww, sabre beat me to it. ~_=

Speaking of SNES CD-ROM, I found this pic looking for old Playstation ads the other day.

Is this one a later prototype, or a fake?

Yup i saw it, and it really lifted the curtain a bit on the SNES CD - i _think_ i have some old Game Power magazines with a picture of it in them, but it could be utterely a fake....

Were there any SNES copiers, that connected via the EXT port? When i was a kid i'm almost completely sure this guy at school had one, but i seem to remember it being a UFO, but as far as i know UFOs only ever connected though the cart slot.

Intresting...it would have been much more flexible to connect the copiers via the EXT port...who knows why they never did that?
