I found an interesting site with some nice sceen grabs from this Never released SNES game. Not only was it never released but also NO Rom dump has ever been made.

Also found a shot of that Rally FX game by Elite called Power Slide.

Does anyone have any screen shots from the SNES version of Transformers? That was also a FX Chip game.

    Vortex was Transformers.

The liesence was withdrawn/not given, so the game was releaed as Vortex.

FX Fighter is available on PC & Jaguar.......maybe A1200 too, deffinatley jag & pc.

Really? i can't see anything in vortex that even looks remotely like transformers, to bad the licence was withdrawn.

I' am sure that the Jag version of the game is not the same as the one that was planned for the super famicom,I'm not positive though.

It's just I heard the SFC version had Nintendo involved,so that would make it different from the jag version right away and the screens from the SFC version look totaly different as well.

Please feel free to correct me as my memory may be wonderin on this one. :smt030

    Very strange...
I saw FVFighters for snes in a mag (1995) as a preview.
The game was made of Cubes (squares) with +-10cubes/characters.
I definitively think that this pics aren't from the snes game (there is an enormous difference of polygons between my pics & these).

    re

I have FX Fighter for PC, and trust me, it's no big loss on the SFC's part. Apart from some decent music, the controls were awful (probably could've been fixed for the SNES version) and the collision wasn't too hot either.

Shitty, I don't have a scanner :smt009 , but 400-500 magazines, with all that pics of unreleased and first version games. And with pics of FX-Fighter, Power Slide and such things for sure.... :smt022

Hoooo :drinkers: I would love to see more games having been made in the same vein as Power Slide. Especially the color scheme I love that.

Reminds me of FX Fighter for the PC-FX... also never released. I made some high res screens and gave them to Aaron Nanto, along w/ a ton of other PC-FX stuff. Not sure if he posted them or not.

The mexican edition of nintendo power ("club nintendo") ran a whole article on FX fighter. That issue even included a poster. This was... in 93, or more probably 94, before the whole "project reality" madness. I had that issue. If I can find it, there will be scans.

I remember thinking it wasn't very impressive, even being a starfox nut and nintendo fanboy back then.

And yes, it was released for the PC later, in an uber-poor piece of outdated software. There are copies still, in the office depot near my house, going for 199 mexican pesos (that's like 16 or 17 dollars), not that you'd like to waste your cash on that crapfest.
