Snes/Gen Game Hunter copier help

Hey guys i just bought a Game hunter copier for Snes and Sega Gen and it the black model. My problem is i try to copy my own carts and for some reason its giving me an error. So i got a used disket formated it to 1.4m doesnt work then i tryed 1.6m still doesnt work. Iam i doing somthing wrong? Also the guy i bought it from gave m a load of games even ones i own so if they worked how come i cant make a back updisk with the carts i own.So if anyone out there has one of these copiers much help would be greatful thanks.

P.S Do anyone also recomend just copying roms on the pc to disket instead and will it work on the device ??

The point of these devices is to play ROMs. Copying them onto a floppy should work fine... although older copiers like yours tend to have idiosyncrasies regarding ROM formats etc. Try uCON64 (and a parallel cable, if possible).

With regards to dumping a cart, you might be better off sending it to a trusted member here. Old copiers tend not to be accurate and make weird/non-compliant headers that will screw up more modern solutions (flash carts or emulators).
