Hi everyone, I have a SNES with some graphical issues:

As you can see, the image works ok but in some layers the picture draws many red lines, I've changed all the capacitors and the problem remains. I've uploaded a video demonstrating the issue:

I've discarded the capacitor problem because everything seems fine regarding this (good continuity between all the dots and pads), and now I don't know which direction go to find the issue.

    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance!

looks like a video encoder issue or PPU issue

I'd put some money (not a lot mind you) on it being the video encoder, what model of board was it on?

    Thanks for the answers.
The model is an PAL SNSP-CPU-01, with superCIC mod. The video encoder can be replaced with non-original generic chip? Where should I start to check?

You've got one of these little guys right?

BA6592F should be a suitable replacement according to Console5.com. There's a few on eBay, mind you this is all trial and error. If it fixes it, awesome! If not, look to the next part on the list... which would be very bad if it is a PPU!

I had a similar issue with yellows / reds flickering on a Mega Drive and replacing the Sony video encoder fixed it up a long while ago. It was a good fix for such a cheap part. ASICs are bad for this reason when something breaks! :(

Yep, one of these are mine. I'll start changing it, it would be amazing if it's the solution so I'm going to buy it asap.
Soon I'll post the feedback, thanks guys!
