Hi everyone! Today i got old philips tv. It has modded extra switch and antenna socket on top. I don`t know what switch do, but i think it changed the mode between scart and antenna socket or something. (
The snes was on and i pulled the switch and now the snes picture is grey/black.
I think that voltage went through rgb cable on my machine. Chip fried?

    Model is SNSP-CPU-02.
    Already tested :
    - Power,Red light,Regulator,Fuse are ok
    - C65,C66 capacitors changed.
    - Reset button doesn`t do anything on grey/black screen.
    - Board is very clean and nothing fried on sight.
    - Cables are ok. Tested with 3 different AV cable. Not with RF-adapter.
    - TV is ok.
    - I tried gently push chips when power on. Nothing happens.
    - There was little smoke smell when the "accident" was occured.
    - Console is very clean.

Just grey screen appears when try to boot games...
Any advice? I can put pictures on board if any help.

Have you tried hooking anything else up to the inputs on the tv to make sure the problem is the SNES and not the TV. Also would try the reverse and make sure the SNES gives you the same results on a different TV and with a different video cable that you know is good. Have you checked the RAM chips to make sure they are ok and properly seated? Also hit the board with a voltmeter and make sure proper power is going through al the board level. Hope this helps and good luck!

TV is working. I played Sega Megadrive 2 and it worked well with scart cable.
Every chip and component is seated well and clean. I spend whole day fixing my lovely snes. (owned since -96).

Already checked voltages on fuse and regulator. Now i need to learn how to check voltages on chips and other components.
I would check the route backward from AV port to console.
The fuse probably wont secure console voltages that comes via cable.
Is this schematic picture right for my version of console?

Hmm the board looks good from the pics. That capacitor isn't leaking any fluids correct?

Normal components and voltages ok. Not sure of RF modulators voltages.

The tv has some kind of switch-rf socket modification with scart pin 20 and pin 8.
    Composite video and +12v hmm...
So i think that voltages went from scart through to snes AV pin 9 and 3. (Cv and Csync?)

How much volts there needs to be in C65 and C66 (10uF 50v) capacitors when they are in full charge? They are first capacitors after Av out. They give 2.52v when measuring.
Edit : I changed them. nothing happens. I Ordered capacitor kit. Next i try them.
Then i need to try another chips.

Measure if the voltage to the video mixing chip is too low, if so, take a look at R71 and test if it's gone out of spec.

Changed all capacitors and cleaned whole console.
Im happy again and my Donkey Kong Country 2 and other games are alive again!

This console has never been yellowing and its nicely retr0brighted!
    Thx for helping me...
