Long-time lurker. First time poster. Attempted an RGB mod on my Snes Jr. ... everything seemed to be great but, randomly, the screen will go black and the sound will cut out. A few seconds later, the audio and sound will come back. While it's on, the picture is perfect. When it cuts, it flashes immediately to black and the sound immediately stops. Some stuff to know: - Used RetroRGB Amp Mod w/csync - Snes Jr. (jp) - Ground pins on the multi-out were connected, but I'm pretty sure I cut the connection. - Connected to an LCD via XRGB-mini I've checked all the connections except for the solder point underneath the Amp because I had trouble trying to remove it, but from what I can see, it looks like csync is well-connected. Any ideas? Thanks!
Have you tried increasing the sync level on the Mini? Could also be a low quality HDMI cable, I had to replace a couple myself that the same problem.
I tried tweaking sync level, with no luck. Is there a setting I need to disable to get sync level to actually do anything? It seemed to have no effect. As for the cable, Saturn is working fine on this setup, but maybe the SFC signal is weaker?
Instead of the resistor leading to the sync pin, maybe use a pot in it's place? You might also want to check the voltages coming out of the sync out signal to see if there's any fluxuations.
Fixed by turning sync off on the framemeister. Is that a good solution or a sign of something wrong with the mod?
