SNES PAL 50/60 mod using RF switch

Hello,

Is there a possibility to mod the SNES PAL 50/60 and use the RF switch (CH 3 for PAL - CH 4 for NTSC) instead of drilling the case and using other?

Unfortunately I don't have the right equipment for that mod, @nonosto.
For Super EverDrive v2, I think the 50/60 mod is enough for what I want.

Why not go switchless by using SuperCIC? No need to destroy your console or parts other than the inside.

 

Pop the lid off the RF unit, isolate the switch from the traces (cut) and then just solder the corresponding wire from the PPUs to the middle and 5v and ground to each of the others.

 

By the way, in the diagram appear a 2.2kOhm resistor that is connected to the O pin of the regulator.
What is the usability of that resistor and that value and not other?
