    Hi there guys so i finaly got a snes after about 5 months trying not beeing ripped off, so today i got it the seller told me at the last minute that when he was testing the console for shipping that i didnt worked and it was supposted to so i asked to cut the price in half and he acepted so i got a snes in the cheap that arround here its a efing miracle since snes sells for very high prices, plus super mario world and mario kart that came included payed for the console so anyway on with the problem.

    So i turned everything on and i put a Street fighter 2 cart so if it had to break i wouldnt be having a mario world or cart blowing up on me XD, so i tune in in the proper channel (using RF BTW) and i see the Street fighter 2 title screen with music playing, i try to press start and it wouldnt work, so i reset and try again as soon as i see the title i pressed start the screen when black, the music playing but to picture, and for what i can conclude since i keep pressing start but the music doesnt changes i assume the game crashed so i tried mario world, pop it in, "nintendo presents" screen comes up title screen music starts playing and again no picture keeping hiting start wont start the game it just loops the title screen music, on mario kart i only see the "nintendo presents" screen no title music or picture.

    So any advice? i probably wont be able to get another snes for the price of this one so i really want to fix it.

    Oh its a SNES PAL system i dont know if it makes a diference.

    Thank you in advance

    cheers

    Pedro

    EDIT: After realizing that the N64 AV cable was the same as the SNES i tried with AV, the problem is the same and i noticed something. I by acident gave a small hit on the mario world cart while it was on the nintendo presents screen and the music changed to one of the map songs. that was very weird.

    First thing I'd be trying would be to give the cart slot on the console, as well as the contacts on your games a good clean. You got any isopropyl alcohol?

    Is your SNES the type with a removable cart slot? Those ones often seem to suffer from bent/damaged pins and you can often fix them by replacing them.

    @pedro:

    Some time ago I got some snes consoles from a guy here and amongst them was a horrible snes that was painted black. The shell is a mess and garbage but the motherboard is fine and works great. If you are interested in paying postage only , I can take out the motherboard , put it in a hard box and send it to you... I have no idea of the weight but a 500gr parcel from here costs 5.70eur (registered is 8.20), I don's see it being heavier... send me a PM if you are interested in a free mobo
