    Hi,

I'm having issues with my SNES that is not powering up. I've probed the circuit board with a multimeter and there is no power getting past the component in position T1 marked 'TDK ZJYS-2'.

By the powers of google I've found a similar component with the part # ZJYS51R5-2P, which appears to be some kind of voltage filter. Would this be a suitable replacement?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jim

Did you check the fuse or the voltage regulator.

Yes, these are both fine. The fuse had blown which I changed for a new one. When the SNES still didn't power on I assumed it would be the regulator & replaced that as well. However, that still didn't fix the problem so I decided to get the multimeter out and found there was no voltage getting past T1.
