Hi guys, I have to ask you a question. I have 2 SNES, one with mobo SNSP CPU 1, the other one with 1CHIP PPU. I used the same RGB cable, the same power pack and the same TV, but i find out that the image of the first one is better than the second one (this one is more faded). I read somewhere that it would have been the opposite. Is there something i have to fix in the 1PPU SNES? I'll show you some images:

which one is worse? Cause I only noticed the second one is a bit more blurry cause of your shaky pic

You are right, sorry! I'm going to take a new picture... By the way the second one is the worst, and even if it is shaky, you can notice that the colours are more faded (for example red, light blue and white)... It could be a problem of resistors?

PAL Console or NTSC? Which cable are you using and how is it wired?

official cable? 3rd party? resistors in it? capacitors? what values? etc

Its not just "a rgb cable" like they are all the same - they are not, especially 3rd party.

What Bad_Ad is saying if if you're using an RGB SCART cable intended for an NTSC SNES, you'll be seeing brightness problems on a PAL SNES. The N64 is the same with S-video cables. The cable itself will use different components if it's intended for a PAL/NTSC console, so you'll need to modify it if you've brought the wrong one.

Ok so I modifyed the first post with a better image. The rpg cable is a third party one (I took a photo of it). Both the systems are PAL.
Thx a lot for all your help! ^_^

Well, thats not how a snes cable is supposed to be wired. Missing all the resistors on the RGB lines for starters.

For NTSC system, only 1 resistor is used but it needs capacitors on the connector for RGB.

Small difference on either side of Atlantic Ocean.

Ok, so basically i have to buy 4 75 ohm resistors and one 180 ohm resistor? What type of wire do you suggest me?
    Thx a lot!

You probably don't need any wire if you solder the resistors directly to the SCART pins, and it looks like there already is a 180 ohm resistor in your cable, so you'll only need to buy 75 ohm resistors.

Excuse me, last question. I couldn't find some 75 ohm resistors, but i find some 76,8 1% instead. Can I use them? Thx a lot, as soon as i've repaired the cable, I'll post some new pics! ^_^

eBay is lousy with 75 ohm resistors, try there.

Guys, I have to admit that I'm really confused. Basically, i checked if my cable was wired like the scheme, and i find out that i don't know why it works... XD If i understand, this is what i have:
Well... My cable, in the connector that go to the console, hasn't any link with pin 3, 4 and 6 (so how did it transfer the signal of blu?!?!)... I need to buy another cable, right? XD
