SNES Repro using 29F016 + 27C801

Hello all!
I'm just wondering if its possible to put a 27C801 and a tsop 29F016 on a two rom 32pin board, for example the SHVC-2A3M-10 (http://www.snescentral.com/pcbboards.php?chip=SHVC-2A3M-10).
So i want to take a 3MB game and split it into two files (2MB + 1MB), burn 'em and then swap them out for the Mask-Roms.

 

Is there any other reason than saving a few bucks for not using a 29F032 on a 36pin board?

 

I've allways made my Repros using their original boards / cases, since i don't have any printer, it would be nice to keep this up.
