I bought a "SNES Super Scope 6" to try to turn into a loRom DIY cart.

What do you guys for an eprom recommend for standard 8mbit games?

I plan to buy necessary parts over the summer as a project that I've wanted to do for a little while. That and I wanted to see if I can run homebrew and beta testing roms on real hardware for the novelty effect.

While on the subject, I bought Madden 95 as a hirom 64kb sram donor. I saw that with 32mbit games you can use a TSOP40-DIP36 converter and program it from there. What are the necessary parts you need for this? I'm not sure if I need the TSOP to WIllem board or not. Just asking for veterans who have made those kinds of carts in the past.

    Thank you very much.

    Well smaller games use 27c8000/27c801/27c080.

While the mini pro software doesn't have them all in the software, you can use any of them and select the one that actually is in the software (they use same programming algorithm) and just disable device ID.

There is a dip 36 to minipro adapter so you can program the chips while they are fitted on the tsop adapter too.

If you want to buy a programmer, the one you linked is fine. But you may find it cheaper on ebay searching for tl866.

If you just want the chips, I supply them with what you want on them.

I'll let you know. I have dumb and strange requests.

I'm gonna look around for sockets for the chips so I can swap em out when I want. Also thank you for the recommendation for a cheaper programmer.

I have an old XP system kicking around and from what I've seen, everyone uses XP for legacy support for these programmers.

Do you have a link for the dip 36 converter in question?

These programmers work fine even on Windows 10. You dont need to use xp.

If you fit a socket, the boards won't fit back in the cart shell. You would have to cut a hole in.

    Adapter is here:

Yes, they don't fit with sockets

Do you have any of the TSOP40-DIP36 preassembled?

I'm waiting on some more chips. I have the tsop adapters.

Chips should be here any day.
