I was thinking about making an adapter to use my SNES controller on my NES but that got me thinking how I think I only have 1 good SNES controller left. One of them my brother was using I think and it's all fucked up now, so I only have my own left. He had also bought some 3rd party controller probably because he fucked up the official pad he had. The thing is this 3rd party "Super Pad" super sucks ass. It's very clicky and annoying.

Anyone know of any good 3rd party pads that are just like the Nintendo pads? Or anyone know a good place to buy brand new official Super NES/SFC pads? One reason was because I was thinking about adapting some for my Supergun as well as making a NES adapter from extension cables.

Also, anyone know where you could find quality rubber button replacements for the controllers? I've got the fucked up controller cleaned up and working, though the doad's rubber button pad has the left button slightly torn and should be replaced sometime.

These new wireless SNES Controllerare pretty awesome! The Perfect Solution actually to your problem I think.

I mention them in my sig.
But, do me a favor if you decide to buy from them be sure to make a note on order about how much you'd like to purchase dreamcast Wireless controllers if they were availible in the future. As they mentioned a mention of this from buyers would really encourage them to pursue making them.

Ouch, 60 bucks? And it has a thumbstick I don't like. For that much I could probably buy a few sealed official controllers. Wireless isn't required for me.

Well it looks alright, I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. Still I'm looking for a good sacrifice to turn into a Supergun gamepad. I'll probably wire it so its number from 1 to 6 is Y B X A L R, and then just make an adapter for actual 6 button games. But still I don't want to modify a shitty pad. The SNES is my favorite gamepad I think. Considering the 2 I have are the original ones when we bought are system and they both still work it's kind of amazing. Mainly because kids tend to tear shit up. Although with these controllers most of the things can be replaced it seems.

nintendorepairshop.com has new ones. shorter cord, released near the end of the lifespan, buttons are slightly smaller. But feels better than anything anyone else can provide

If you want to import, SFC controllers are very easy to find in any junk shop in Japan. Most are still in great shape. Under 500 yen for a controller no problem.

You might just try to contact Nintendo for fun.
Not too long ago (I think in 2005) I contacted Nintendo Europe, asking what to do because my snes controller broke, but I still love my SNES so much.

They did not reply, but instead 2 weeks later I got a box with 2 brand new European boxed controllers

People on some German sites also claim Nintendo still sells them for the price of 6,99 a piece.

However I do not know if thats really the case.

I'm aware of a japanese import site that sells em for 600y each. I might get some if I can find some games to justify the shipping cost. :p Costs more to ship the controllers than to buy them!
