I have a store kiosk like the one pictured http://retro.mmgn.com/Gizmondo/Forums/Store-Display-Units

SNES unit works, has reset wires coming out of the console to the board. It is connected with 5 switch set. One switch enables/disables auto timed reset to prevent game hogging, and other 4 switches set the timer length.

SNES also has SCART cable (yes, SCART on an USA console) to the same board mentioned above where it gets converted to RGB signal, and it's connected to original Zenith monitor. IIRC many monitor often died and was replaced with other brand that did not have Super NES logo on front like original Zenith monitor has. All was fully working when I last tested it but the cable seemed loose and causing color dropout, I'd have to check all cables.

There's also a few Allen wrenches included (for taking the unit apart if needed or changing timer switch), a business card from local ad representative, and original key to unlock the display.

Currently it's been put away in storage as I couldn't get a buyer years ago (big and heavy = expensive shipping and only via Freight) but I may put it up for sale with my own pictures if the price looks good.

I've seen them for sale, depending on condition, probably a couple hundred. Thats what I would pay at least if I wanted to buy one.

I've seen many of these go on sale. Typical selling range for SNES is from 500 to 1000 depending on completeness and condition. If you have some pictures or more information I could give a better estimate. It seems SNES and NES kiosks tend to go for a bit more than other consoles.

Well, the cool red light on top is probably why SNES set goes for a bit more than others. ;)

I'll have to dig it out and dust it off then take pictures.

I just found about about this RGB cable now. Is there anything different, or should it work as-is with everyday European TVs that accept 60hz?

Other than how simply being any form of SCART product from a major company in the US is itself unusual.

You're bumping a 3 year old thread. It's unlikely he still has the item.

Regardless, the rules state you must make offers on a price check item via PM only. Please familiarize yourself with the forum rules.
