Krikzz, the subject of ROMs not loading has come up a few times. The reason is because the imbedded cart info (at $FFC0) is sometimes wrong, like with translated ROMs. The suggestion is to add an option to Force Loading with different settings like Force LoROM or HiROM mapping, Force a different ROM size, or add a check in loading to see if the imbedded header info size doesn't match the file size to correct or give an option to correct the ROM size when loading. Another thing would be have an option to show the auto detected HiROM/LoROM, Save Size, ROM Size settings. These suggestions could help with troublesome ROMs.
Yay! Hope this helps the Final Fantasy retranslations. Trying not to shell out for repro carts just yet.
aww man i was going to give the new patch a try and the windows gave me a warning of some errors on the SD now all my folders are erased. Thanks windows 7!
Just ignore that error if you ever see it again, it doesn't need fixing. Thanks for the update KRIKzz! Greatly appreciated!
The Super EverDrive isn't region specific like the ED64, so I would assume any update would be for all regions. You copy OS file to SD card. Load up Super EverDrive menu and go to Tools -> Update OS. Select OS file and it will confirm and then start flashing new OS to board.
I just noticed that V.12 doesnt have the option to format the SD from the everdrive. Can i just format in my computer and it will work just fine?
Yeah I was able to get the horrendously bad Steven Seagal demo to work by changing the ROM size from 1M to 2M
Hi,This feature works great in my new everdrive, but I I can make a suggestion? When I load knights of the round.I need changue the sram size from 0 to 4k.Because if i not changue it,the knights are invisible and the snes hangs. But the problem is the modified setting are not saved when I flash a new game.So when I load the game Again. The knight are invisible and snes hang. It could be added afeature to remember the configuration changes per game?. (Only if you change something).
That doesn't sound right. Knights of the Round doesn't have SRAM. Krikzz might want to take a look at the game and see if he has the same problem you do. Are you sure your ROM is good?
Well,I use a patched version.Because I unable to run other version, except the japanese versión.(in japanese ). The version I use is (U) [t2] When I tried a standard version of game, the game returns me "warning this game pack is not designed for use with you super nintento entertaiment system (pal)." Is the same case en earthbound,I unable to play the game with patch in spanish a cause of región .
The reason is that the [t2] is a trained ROM that expects to be run on a copier with SRAM enabled. To play it on your PAL system use the (U) rom but use UCON64 with the -f switch to region fix it so it will run. There may also be a [f1] variant of the game which has this already done. UCON64 might fix Earthbound too.
Thanks for the info! It works with knights of the round. But not with earthbound.(well,it remove región protectión,but the game jumps to sdram protection after i selected the name of the players :crying: )
