I see, so what kinda code do i enter to be able to do so? and also, will there ever be a device that could do patches to JPN carts like that in realtime via PC soon? Not sure if Tototek will ever be interested in a idea like that? probably not but, i can't see why would be a bad one as it helps save alot of time imho!

I found this but did not personally test it.

    "(use modify game option)

NVRAM in CART -> GD7 'BRAM':
    10005XXXXXXXX1

GD7 'BRAM' -> NVRAM in CART:
    10006XXXXXXXX1"

So the first one is for loading SRAM from the Cart into the GDSF. The second is to load whats in the GDSF into the Cart.

I don't think anyone is going to do what you are talking about for translations with original Japanese cartridges given that it would be more complex and expensive than just using a flash cartridge.

Awesome! Thanks :) as for the GDSF to Cart option, what stuff can you add to the cart in mind? i know it's not translation patches (though it would be nice if it could read the game cart & the patch that's in the GDSF and have it load via realtime) like without needing to dump the rom. And also no offence but i'm quite surprised you don't actually seem to care if people download roms freely & such while telling others no need to buy the games at all lol. Making me feel like i'm wasting my own money

The GDSF and all other copiers have no support for any patch file format like IPS. To apply a translation you must dump the original cartridge with the copier and get it on your PC where you will apply the patch. Then you need to get that patched ROM loaded back on the copier. Also during this process you will likely need to convert the ROM file from one format to another, and then back again after patching.

I'm not sure about your comment about caring about downloading ROMs. For reference we are talking about games in the case of the SNES that are over 20 years old on average. You can choose to do what you want. For many people, buying the original cartridges is not for them. Either because of cost, space, living conditions, import issues, or some other reason. For them it's much better to use a Flash Cart/Copier or emulation. If you're feeling you are wasting your money then maybe you should rethink things.

Nah it's not like that, what i'm trying to saying is.. your actually cool about it especially in a forums that's high on piracy talking issues (Not that i personally care) i mean is... you know what? nvm, i apologise about that whole ROM business thingy & your absolutely right about every reasons why it's better to get roms instead of throwing your money on things that not really worth importing much any longer :) and yeah i agree it's never to late into buying flashcarts as those are more accessible & way easier! And alas Thanks for the sweet help dude.
