I'm actually not 100% sure if this is a problem with my cart or if it's just normal.

Basically the intro and battles are fine, they don't have this issue. But any other part where you control Mario I get this weird line graphical glitch that makes it kind of look like it's raining.

I just finished swapping the cart to an English eeprom, but I'm pretty sure it did this before I did the rom swap. Did I just get a bad JP cart or is this just normal? If not, is it fixable?

e: here is direct capture to give you an idea.

It looks like this on my display as well.

e2: Actually do you think this might be an issue with the outer pins on my 62 pin connector or maybe just a problem with my Super Famicom in general?

Here's some footage of it as well, you can see that the lines go away in battle

I Have the exact same issue , did you find wath causes this ???

I have another snes system and the game plays fine on the other so I am pretty sure the problem is the snes itself and not the game cartridge

do you have any clues to share ?

Look up "SNES vertical lines," there's a thread for that. Plus, when you swapped the rom, did you remember to put the voltage at 3.7V?

Hey, just wanted to say the cart was fine. I even bought a second cart and it had the same issue. Something was wrong with the Super Famicom itself, I tried reflowing some chips and the pin connector on the SFC and it didn't help. Swapped in another SNES PCB and everything worked fine.

Only thing I didn't try was swapping the pin connector, I'm not sure if you need to desolder it on the SFC but it didn't just pop off like it does on a regular SNES.

This is the only game that I seem to have issues with on the original SFC PCB, even games that use those same outer pins (Yoshi's Island, Star Ocean) had no issues.

Is the Super Famicom that has the issues a 1-Chip?
