I would like to play Yoshi's Safari Hunt on the SNES. This game does only work the the SuperScope. However I hate the SuperScope. It's huge, heavy and uncomfortable. Are there any other lightguns for the SNES which are SuperScope compatible or is it possible to mod a lightgun from a different system, e. g. the NES Zapper?
Konami made revolvers for Lethal Enforcers but I never bothered to find out if they could be made to work with other games.
You could try to move the super scope into a more convenient shell. The actual electronics are rather small, might fit one of the bigger light guns like a Predator 2
I suggest using rso's idea. That's probably the only way you could get it done. I don't think the ones by Konami are compatible with all the SNES shooting games.
Depending on the space in the gun shell, maybe do some other mods as well. Rechargeable battery pack instead if AAs maybe?
Good point. Seeing how much space those take up (how many was it again? six?), it's probably either going to be a lipo pack or an external cell holder...
