I got my Snes a while back from a yard sale and I noticed when I power it on and play games ths image is staticy and has wavy lines across the screen. I have both the Rf and RCA adapters and it does it with both. Anyone know what could be wrong? I doubts its the adapters since it does it with both. Maybe a bad board?

I have a snes that had a buzzing sound and waves on the screen, turns out some of the caps were bad, replace them and it works great now.

Caps are always a good place to start. Make sure you do a physical check of the boards to see if there's any corrosion.
Some of mine had corrosion in the weirdest places. Around the cart slot I can understand, but the reset button?
Who spills liquid into the reset button?!?! Post some high resolution photos if you want us to have a look around.
I know I missed some corroded traces completely on mine and l_oliveira was kind enough to point out the troublesome ones! :smile-new:
