    Hi all,

We have an SNES that is giving us some weird artifacting during game play. During Super Mario World, we will see some strange numbers appearing all around the border of the game,
Some graphics also get jumbled or go missing.

Any idea where to start testing this thing?

    Thanks!

    Daniel

Clean the contacts from the cartridge slot and the game itself, it should work.

Two things that could likely cause the problem:

If the problem is just graphic and doesn't cause the game to freeze there might be something shorting or a trace is about to break on the video memory bus.

If the problem causes the game to glitch game play, it could be a problem with the S-WRAM (CPU work ram) chip.
