Dear SNK, Do you know that you didn't write some of these games, and although you might own the rights to these games, it doesn't mean they are your games, a bit like the way Puyo Puyo is a Compile game and not a Sega game. Nazca, ADK and Saurus wrote a few of these games. It also may surprise you, and you may have to look, that you do have games that you made that were not on Neo Geo hardware. I told you it would surprise you. If you look hard enough you'll see games such as Ozma Wars, Vanguard, Main Event, ASO, Athena, Ikari Warriors, Time Soldiers, Psycho Soldier, Guerrilla War, Victory Road, Touch Down Fever, POW, Street Smart, Buruki One, Roads Edge, etc, etc... Which I would like to see on a compilation, rather then a number of games which have appeared before on multiple hardware platforms. Thanks Jamtex
I plan to buy (i'm a consumer whore, plus game compilations on psp rock!). Now if only sega would do another genesis collection (with hopefuly streets of rage in it this time). Funny you mention that. Back when the SNK Classics was anounced (back durring TGS i believe). It seem the compilation was actualy going to be Pre NeoGeo games. Yet now we have the actual list of included games and they're all NeoGeo games.
Hmmm I think I should get it too, but in reality I am not that impressed. I would be more impressed if they released an "SNK 2D arcade fighters all" with all their fighter series like King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury and so and so forth. That could be smashing great, but I think this compilations is a bit cheap. Namcos arcade collection 1 and 2 were smashing great compared to the SNK collection as I look at it.
Wanted the old school stuff like it was touted. Not a buy for me as I have all the homecarts, or MVS for ST. Shame.
