i was looking on a spanish emulation site and i found a doc. about snk and i found out that it stands for SHIN-NIHON-KIKAKU , what does it mean? new japan "kikaku"? and also saw something about the "neo geo 64" anyone knows anything about it?
Well, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that means "New Japan Project." And the Neo Geo 64...That's a piece of 64 bit Arcade only hardware made by SNK. If I recall, there were 3 configurations...1 for driving games, one for shooting games, and one for fighting games and the like. There aren't a whole lot of Hyper Neo Geo 64 games...and it's not too popular. This is all off the top of my head...anyone else want to chime in?
come to think of it, the only place i could find a metal slug 5 rom was a spanish site...(or mexican)... now its shut down. :-(
Wasn't there a Samurai Showdown 64 released on the Neo Geo Hyper 64 hardware, or was it canned before release? I'm not aware of any other games for that platform, but from what I hear, it was a massive flop, and very short lived.
here's a list of games for the NeoGeo64 I found: Beast Busters 1990 3 Gun Game where players try to destroy the mutants that have taken over the city. Buriki One 1999 Fatal Fury Wild Ambition 1999 Off Beat Racer! 1998 Roads Edge 1998 Round Trip RV 1998 Samurai Showdown 64 1998 Warrior's Rage 1998 Xtreme Rally thats all the info I found in 5 mins ... regards Mark
i remember when i read a british magazine there were pictures of samurai spirits to that board and it was great looking (a shame my sister forced me to throw my magazines out :angry :smt067 :smt071 that bitch)

Well it was released in arcades which mean it was released publicly. I can only assume you meant as a home console in which case you are correct. On another note I have yet to say any emulators or roms for it released.
