I just got an SNS-CPU-1CHIP-02 Super famicom, connected up my RGB scart cable to test it and got audio but no video.
I took it apart and found that the components for the c-sync signal were missing just like in a 1CHIP-03.
It is one of the MADE IN CHINA versions with the serial number beginning SM instead of just S.
I have owned a few 1CHIP-02 MADE IN JAPAN versions and they had the components for the c-sync signal present.
Is it most likely due to it being one of the MADE IN CHINA versions and they were just using up some older boards that they had left over?

I don't have an answer, but would you mind including your full SM serial number for historical reasons?

    Serial is SM12045966.
I have restored the c-sync on a few 1CHIP-03 consoles before, so I already have the components.

I also have a -02 with missing csync components, but it's made in Japan. Serial: S25189967

It seems that they may have started leaving off the c-sync components before the 1CHIP-03.
