I just bought it today. I've only just finished the runway level, but I can tell you already that it's not as good as the original (imho).

It's too easy unless you are playing 007 classic mode.

It's alot more linear and it constantly feels like you are being steered towards a certain point.

Music is great, but unfortunately it doesn't source any of the original's music.

Multiplayer levels do not include any of the classic maps (for the maps I've unlocked so far...).

Also I sometimes get the feeling the hit detection does not work 100% correctly. There'll be moments when I'm 99% sure I shot someone in the head and he doesn't die instantly. Other times an enemy will be taking cover and I'll hit him from the side, but he won't receive any damage.

I played through the first level and it lacks exploration - comparing the N64 Dam with the Wii one, I remember having a lot more to do in the N64 version. The production values on this are pretty good but it feels like an adaptation of the book/movie more than a remake of the original game.

I can't really compare it to current COD games, because I've never played any COD game since the first one.

Production value is indeed high, but I honestly don't really care. Like at the end of the runway level you can see the dam exploding which is pretty cool, but it's not really necessary.

You're spot on about the first level. The thing I really liked about some of the levels like dam, runway and surface in the original was how open they were. You could just drive your tank and crush some random soldiers or snipe them. Now the levels feels much more cramped and there isn't even a tank on the runway (which is more true to the movie, but not as fun).

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game to play trough. But replay value is non existant because it's so linear (which seems to be common nowadays).
