So apprently I've befriended half of NG Dev Team and didn't even realize it.

So some of you know about my new You Tube Project S.T.F.U. I've been posting the videos in a shmup group and for the most part they all love them and find my terrible playing hilarious, which was the intend, why be good when you can be bad?

But one person keeps liking these videos like clockwork. Rene Hellwig. I thought this guy was just a shmup super fan but he LOVES watching my videos. The other day I was writing about how tired I was of every indie release on the Dreamcast being a shmup and I looked up Gunlord which, wasn't a shmup and I see his name as one of the designers. Then I also find out he's Hucast as well. Right away I decided Give Dux another chance, and I quite like it now. I also did the NG Dev games I had for my videos the other day.

Needless to say NGDevteam is now fully aware of the fact I do not like Fast Striker.

But there ya go funny little story I thought I'd share. This doesn't mean free shit (if anything I'm buying anything I don't have) nor will I ask him questions on anyone's behalf.

Maybe instead of wasting time on Youtube he could try making games that don't suck.

 

What exactly sucks about Last Hope? Dux and Fast Striker I can sort of understand but even Dux has grown on me. But Last Hope is a great game. An R-Type Clone yes but a great game none the less. Gunlord looks awesome and I'm going to jump through hoops to get Ghost Blade.

 

I think Last Hope was considered a bit generic

 

For what it is, It's a great a game. If I had any complaints it's that the Bosses were a bit too easy. Fast Striker just looks too Drab and lacks anything to make it Jump out that's why I don't like it.

But Just Look at Ghost Blade this will be his master piece.

 

Forgot they made Last Hope, which was half decent. Sure, it's an R-Type clone, but so's Pulstar and Blazing Star. Besides, I'd rather see an R-Type clone than another stupid bullet hell game. Dux and Fast Striker though...what a load of amateurish crap.

 

I think you just redeemed yourself in my eyes. Dux really isn't that bad if you look past the graphics looking like a flash game, they were going for a PC Engine style there.
I don't like Fast Striker because it's Amateruish, I don't like it becuase the visuals are so drab and music is meh. But I'm going to buy a copy anyway and spend hours on it just to see if there's any rock under that unpolished stone.

Gunlord Can we really complain about a Turrican style game? Seriously who hates Turrican? I don't think anyone hates Turrican.
