I got a programmer and EPROM eraser recently, which came with a large bundle of chips, been through some of them and had a ganders at what's on them and it's pretty interesting to see some of the classic strings from programs and hardware of yesteryear. So anyway the point of this was that if anyone in the UK (or europe) needs anything programmed or erased (assuming the hardware works) then I'll gladly do it! [I've also still got a sealed adaptec 2940 SCSI card for free if anyone has a dreamcast kit that needs it]. I'm not looking to make a profit from this, got it mainly as I'm experimenting with some CPUs I've desoldered from old boards and for testing my PROM emulator when I begin working on it again. One funny thing about the kit was when I tested it earlier, tried it on an old dell I have, half-way through reading a chip it turned off with power-light flashing yellow, and now it refuses to turn on again and just has a constant flashing yellow light haha, typical dell quality there....
You would actually need to be specific about what kinds of EPROM you can program, as it will more than likely be limited. If it was under £500, it'll certainly be limited and in any case, you need adapters for many sorts of chips and those don't come cheap. Old Dells were nice... just depends how old!
It's a willem so err *shrugs* haha. Got a TSOP board for it and extended EPROM with the usual PLCC and SOIC add-in boards, only problem is the TSOP board is blank, was tempted to get a TSOP socket off ebay but haven't got the foggiest on how to solder one properly, would have to use a solder paste and not an iron but I don't know more than that.
