So last night I had the weirdest dream that I was in a video game.

So it starts out with me chopping rocks with this Axe and Police are all over my street. I go back up my drive way then turn around and it's blocked by 4 stones and my Mom is standing there Tells me something cryptic and "the game starts"

The "Only Level" I dreamt was the first one where I'm on my street cutting down Samurai with my axe. At the end of the level my Axe Breaks so I go see this weapons guy (Creepy dude is all I'll say) Who gives me a plastic sword. Which I can't use. So we hop on his motorcycle to...a hardware store.

Then things shifted gears to what the story would be (Something about friends, a girl named meagan and hell I have no idea poisonous moss on buildings plus in the "Cut scene" I kept screaming ROMULUS!)

I know that's REALLY vague on one hand it sounds like Devil may cry (it flowed more like Ninja Gaiden only choppier.) No More Heroes fits the bill but the dream wasn't humorous or stylish it was really dark. Plus I started out with an Axe but I could get other weapons(hardware store trip) and based the rest of the dream it seemed like other people would get Playable later on.

Also this being a dream it was surreal. (and I had a teddy bear with me) The Music was dark and had a violin playing through the "First level"

So... are you like me stumped as to any games this sounds like?

I'd like to see what you come up with because there is NO WAY the game I dreamt will ever be made (knowing me there'd be things in it that would give the ESRB board a stroke)

with my feet of course assuming the padded room I'm in has a TV but yeah, I don't think Illbleed was that well received either.

I also due to this dream downloaded Pyschonaughts. The 2nd Level is alot like the atmosphere of my dream.

 @ mental image of someone using there feet to play a game.

 even harder @ the image of someone actually doing said activity while in a padded room, wearing a straight jacket. Even moreso if the person is playing Eternal Darkness or something similar

back on topic: Ive never heard of illbleed. Looking up some info on it right now. I usually like the games that are not that " well recieved":icon_bigg

I totally forgot about Eternal Darkness since you can go insane in the game
The game in my dream wasn't survival horror but then again maybe it was, dream was so vague about what genre it was.
When started putting this game together in my head when I woke up one of the ideas I had was a Panic attack meter.

Illbleed was a Dreamcast Survival horror game where you acted on your senses I think the tag line was "You will Shit in fear" or something.

another game that seems to have the atmosphere I'm looking for is Blood Omen 2

You know that came across my mind too.

I have a ton of ideas in my head if this game was to get made. But I'm being realistic in saying it'll probably never get made. Just because I have no means of pitching it.

You've possibly got a bit of Red Steel mixed into it too, especially in the first level.

Anyone who knows me well knows I'm a huge Wolverine Fan.

that's probably where the name came from the character was something else entirely not the lupine thingy introduced in Evolution

Never played Red Steel mostly becuase 1) I don't have a wii and 2) A game called RED Steel should have blood

    interesting point though.

The part with the chopping rocks with an axe and the stones in front of your door sounds a LOT like Dwarf Fortress.

This is where visual aids help

    "The first level"

This is just off my driveway.

    Where I was chopping rocks

just a few feet away (actually All I had to do was turn around)

So yeah, See where I could have a dream this was all in a video game? Somebody described my street once as being something out of HP Lovecraft

all folks think they have great ideas, and actually maybe some do.

However, keeping it to yourself until you can make it is known as modesty, on the other hand, saying "people said it looks like [enter fabulous subject]/if i made it it would be the dogs bollocks" etc is just vanity and vanity doesn't go far without a good record which I m afraid is something you seem to lack judging by the existing replies.

sorry to sound patronising, I m just saying the obvious in clear words.

Good Point, But Thing is as I've said "there is NO WAY" Any game based on a dream I had can be made and get past the ESRB.

Actually, stupid as it may sound, still.. to this day.. I'm actually kinda meh in skills for Street Fighter with my hands, but no one can beat me when I used my feet.

That is, using the SNES pad of course. Still, don't ask why, but i just do better in that game and that game alone.

non-commercial games aren't rated by the ESRB smart-ass, just look at all the flash-based games out there. If you want to do something with your life just do it, then talk about it, that's what granpa said.
