    Daimao FTW!

But I don't know...Tatsunoko just doesn't have that deep a pool of characters for a sequel if one was to be made.

Now...Toei VS Capcom THAT Would be EPIC WIN!

I still like though though not sure which version I prefer US/Euro or Japanese
    Leaning toward Japanese...DAIMAO!

The Button Layout was a bit odd to me using my arcade stick and the AI is way too easy among other things and there's also the fact I don't know who half the people are. (Besides Karas)

As for how I got the play it....you figure that one out yourselves.

Yes that must have been tricky. I heard you'd have to go to an obscure place like Best Buy and buy it if you wanted to play it.

It'd be more surprising if GoH actually purchased a game instead of pirating everything in sight and then bragging about it to all of us.

Anyway, one of my mates has finally started getting into fighting games. He brought TvC and the arcade stick round mine; I quite enjoyed it. Not the deepest game in the world but it's still good fun.

Not everything...it's not piracy if Nintendo is involved

Toei VS Capcom, GODZILLA as a boss...Sailor Moon, DBZ people, Super Sentai and Voltron, Hokuto No Ken, Slam dunk

Much deeper pool to gather a roster from.

I downloaded it on my friend's modded Wii. And haven't played it yet.

I MEAN I BOUGHT IT AT BEST BUY AND IT'S AWESOME.

So your making a justification that Nintendo or games on Nintendo platforms are somehow ok to pirate?

GOH, kiss your posting privileges goodbye for a while. People are fedup with your blatant piracy bragging. I hope this teaches you a lesson. We don't like or want pirates at ASSEMblergames. Sure, 1 or two personal copies for a defunct console is fine but the way you brag about your hoards of ROMS isn't what we want here.

Well, now that we got the piracy stupidity out of the way, I have to say there are actually two Japanese versions of the game: Cross Generation of Heroes (with Daimao, no Tekkaman Blade, Zero, Joe the Condor or Frank West, no online play), and Ultimate All-Stars, which is the version that was localized.

Yeah, a lot of the characters were tweaked, this FAQ has a pretty nice list of what was changed: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/file/953921/58907
I forgot to mention that Ultimate All-Shooters, a surprisingly fun shooter minigame was added in UAS.

Is it something worth importing, or is the localized one simply superior?

Depending who you talk to, The changes between SF2 revs are far from minor. =) (I use to play with people at work who have picked apart every revision of sf).

    Thanks!
