It's a real puzzle, a game outside a game. WHAT is the best configuration to have a dual shock function as an N64 Pad? OK........ GO
Depends on the game really. Most games that use the c button for an item or camera, map c buttons to right analogue, left analogue for analogue, dpad on dpad, b buton square, a button x., r=r1, z=r2, and l=l1
A = Cross B = Square C up = Triangle C down = circile C left = L1 C right = R1 R = R2 Z = L2 L = Select or L3 Start = Start Dpad = Dpad Stick = Stick Although be warned that the only good modern controller to replace a nintendo 64 controller, mainly the feel of the thumbstick, is the XBOX360 controller (no the gamecube controller does a terrible job at mimicking an n64 pad and the Classic controller is fucking useless for 3D games) I say the above with years of experience using a dual shock on the PC, which was a compromise I admit, seeing that all other controllers at the time were pure crap and un-standard to my console-trained hands. The Dual Shock got the boot the moment the 360's wired controller appeared and has been so since then.
Hm, I guess I should get some 360 wired pads, the PS2 converters are mainly for my arcade sticks, But I use the dual shocks for everything that isnt arcade.
You know you trust me more than yourself, and if you don't you should, so go out and buy a 360 wired controller or else
There was a dual console Ps1/n64 controller i saw on sale arond 1998. Never saw it again, and have never seen it online.
